The roughtness of grain (paper texture) is due to the small size of the original drawing: 7,5cm height (3 inches). I'm glad you liked it.

I think the face could have been a bit lighter, because it's so dark now, but I think that darkness also adds to the feeling.
It looks a bit like the "solitude" drawing. This drawing is my favorite after Solitude, only you didn't post that one yet.

I think the main reason why I like your style and works is that I can relate to the feelings expressed in them, well, not really relate to them, its more, it feels like they're my feelings expressed. Just wish that I could express them just as well as you but working on it.
